Spaghetti Western Orchestra began as The Ennio Morricone Experience in Melbourne, Australia. Under the steady guidance of company manager Émer Harrington the band won a Best Music award at the 2003 Melbourne Fringe and went on to tour to Adelaide, Sydney and Perth. After playing Edinburgh in 2006 The Ennio Morricone Experience was renamed and reworked as Spaghetti Western Orchestra with director Denis Blais then toured for Glynis Henderson Productions. SWO has played across the USA, Europe, Australia, Asia and the UK, appeared on BBC TV Later with Jools Holland and played a BBC Proms concert at the Royal Albert Hall. Sadly the group hung up their spurs in 2014. There is still a Facebook page
